Police were notified of the incident shortly after noon local time (1 p.m. Eastern) at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, about 130 kilometers west of San Antonio.

19 elementary school children and three adults – two of them teachers – have been pronounced dead.
[Redacted], 18, is dead. He is believed to have been killed by responding officers.
[The shooter] is believed to have been armed with a handgun, and possibly a rifle.
At least two victims, including a senior and a child, were taken to hospital and are in critical condition.
This is the 212th mass shooting (when four or more people, not including the shooter, are shot or killed in a single incident, at the same time and place) to occur in the United States this year.
