Even on the best of days, Riding the Rocket can be a struggle for Torontonians. It wasn’t the best of days today.
Two people were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a garbage truck collided with a Toronto streetcar Tuesday morning.
Toronto Police confirmed the collision occurred just before 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning, causing the truck to flip on its side.
The accident caused the eastbound lanes of St. Clair Avenue to be blocked west of Yonge Street during morning rush hour.
While no cause for the collision has been determined, the streetcar was operating in a raised lane reserved for streetcars.
The delay is just one of many commuters faced this morning across Toronto.
